About Surplus Valuation Co.

Surplus Valuation Co. buys surplus industrial equipment - drives, PLCs, servo systems, instruments, controls and the parts that go with them - from the people who end up holding it: plants clearing a store room, contractors with a job's leftovers, integrators with a cancelled project, electricians who over-ordered, and families settling a workshop.

We have been doing this since 2010. The company is founder-run and based in New York, and we buy from anywhere in the United States.

What we are looking for

Mostly new surplus - units still in the box, or pulled from a project that never went ahead. We also buy used equipment when the model is one we know sells, so it is always worth asking. The catalogue pages list, by category and brand, the numbers we see most; if yours is on a page, we want it.

What happens to it

It is resold. A drive that sat on a shelf in Ohio ends up keeping a line running in Texas, which is a better outcome for the equipment, the seller and the buyer than the scrap yard. We are the direct buyer, not a listing service - when you sell to us, we pay you, and what we do with it afterwards is our problem.

How we work

One email with your part numbers and a few photos gets a reply within two hours in business hours. If you accept, we send a prepaid label or arrange the freight, inspect the shipment the day it arrives, and pay the same day by wire, PayPal, Venmo or Zelle. If a unit is not what was described, you choose: we send it back at our expense or send a revised offer. There is no minimum - one unit is fine, and so is a pallet.

The details are on the how it works page, and the questions we get asked most are on the FAQ.
