Selling condenser fan motors

What we buy and how it works

We buy condenser fan motors off condensing units, heat pumps, rooftop units and refrigeration racks: aftermarket replacement motors and the OEM motors that carry an equipment maker's number, PSC and ECM, single and three phase. New in the box, truck stock that was never fitted, or pulled from working equipment at a changeout. One motor or a contractor's shelf. Email the number from each motor label, the OEM number if it carries one, and a photo of the nameplate, and you will have an offer within two hours. The valuation is free and there is no obligation. If you accept, we send a prepaid label, and you are paid the day the shipment arrives.

What we pay for

Motors of every horsepower and frame, with or without the mounting bracket, capacitor and fan blade, and the pieces sold with them: ECM control modules, mounting legs and bands, capacitors and the fan blades matched to the motor. If the control board or inducer or blower motor came off the same unit, send those numbers in the same email.

Brands we buy

GE and Genteq 5KCP and 5K49, and the ECM condenser motors. Century and A.O. Smith. US Motors and Emerson K55, Nidec, Marathon, Leeson, Morrill, Rotom and Packard. OEM motors carrying a Carrier, Bryant, Payne, Trane, American Standard, York, Coleman, Lennox, Daikin, McQuay, Goodman, Amana, Rheem, Ruud, AAON or Heatcraft number. Every brand we take is listed below. If yours is not there, send the number anyway and we will tell you either way.

By manufacturer

Find your fan motor

We buy condenser fan motors off condensing units, rooftops and refrigeration racks: aftermarket replacements and OEM motors alike, single or three phase, standard or ECM.

Send the motor number, the OEM number and the nameplate ratings

A condenser fan motor can carry two numbers, the motor maker's number on the label, such as Genteq 5KCP39EGS070S, and the OEM number for the unit it fits, such as Carrier HC39GE237. Buyers search either, so send both where they are printed. Then send the ratings from the nameplate too: horsepower, voltage, RPM, frame size and rotation, because the same motor number is built in several ratings and the nameplate is what a buyer matches against. A photo of the whole nameplate, close enough to read every line, is the fastest way to list a motor.

New and used

New motors in the box, bought as truck stock and never fitted, are the easiest to price. We also buy motors pulled from working units when the equipment was replaced for its age. Say which it is. For a pulled motor, tell us that it was running when removed, whether the bracket and blade are with it, and photograph the nameplate and the shaft end.

Where condenser fan motors come from

HVAC and refrigeration contractors replace whole condensing units long before the fan motor in them has worn out, and the good motors come back to the shop. Distributors clear truck stock when a model is superseded. Those shelves of pulled motors and unopened boxes are what we are asking you to send.
