Selling bench instruments
We buy bench and rack test instruments: source measure units, precision and bench multimeters, electrometers and picoammeters, data acquisition and switch mainframes, function and signal generators, frequency counters, LCR meters and the plug-in cards and modules that go with them. One instrument from a bench or the full contents of a test lab. Email the model from each front panel and a photo, and you will have an offer within two hours. The valuation is free and there is no obligation. If you accept, we send a prepaid label, or arrange freight for a lab clearance, and you are paid the day the shipment arrives.
Instruments with or without their leads, cords and rack ears, and the pieces sold with them: multiplexer, matrix and actuator cards for the switch and DAQ mainframes, GPIB and LAN interface options, test leads and fixtures, triax cables and low-noise fixtures for the electrometers, and the option licences installed on the unit. On a switch mainframe the cards are often worth more than the frame, so list every card by its own number. If the scopes or bench supplies from the same lab are also going, send those numbers in the same email.
Keithley SourceMeters in the 2400, 2450 and 2600 families, the 2000, 2010 and 2700 multimeters and the DMM6500 and DMM7510, the 6485, 6487, 6514 and 6517 electrometers and picoammeters, the 7001, 7002, 3700 and 3706 switch mainframes and the 2200 and 2300 series. Keysight and Agilent 34970A, 34972A and 34980A data acquisition units with their 34901A and 34902A cards, and the 34401A, 34461A and 34465A multimeters. Fluke 8845A, 8846A and 8808A. Also B&K Precision, Rigol, Siglent, GW Instek, Yokogawa, Hioki, Advantest and National Instruments. Every brand we take is listed below. If yours is not there, send the number anyway and we will tell you either way.
By manufacturer
We buy bench and rack test instruments: source measure units, precision multimeters, electrometers and picoammeters, data acquisition and switch mainframes, and the plug-in cards that go with them. Calibrated or out of cal.
The model on the front panel, 2400 or 34970A, tells a buyer the family. What it is worth to them depends on what is in it: the cards in a 34970A, the GPIB or LAN option on a 2400, the licences installed on a DMM7510. Send the model, and for a mainframe list each card by its number, because the frame and the cards are sold apart. A photo of the rear panel shows the interfaces and the card slots, and a photo of the options or system-info screen shows the licences. Say whether the calibration sticker is in date.
New or unused instruments, still boxed or bought for a programme that ended, are the easiest to price. We also buy instruments from a working bench. Say which it is. For a used instrument, tell us that it powers up and passes self-test, note the calibration date, and photograph the front panel on, the rear panel and any cards or leads together.
Semiconductor and electronics labs, test and burn-in departments, calibration houses and universities refresh their benches every few years, and a lab closure or a project wind-down frees up a rack of instruments with the cards and fixtures still in the drawer. Those racks and drawers are what we are asking you to send.
