DC drives / Dayton
Dayton AC and DC motor speed controls by their Grainger stock numbers - 2Z846, 4Z527, 5X485, 13E6xx and the rest.
Catalogue numbers
Every number below is one we actively buy. Match yours off the nameplate and email it through.
Not on the list? It does not mean no. Send the number and you will get an answer either way.
Scope
Dayton speed controls are identified by their Grainger stock numbers and that is how they are listed: the 2Z846 and 2M171 DC controls, 4Z527, 4Z827 and 4Z829, the 5X412 and 5X485 SCR controls, the 1F792 and 1F796 chassis drives, the 13E632 to 13E660 AC motor speed controls, 32J571, and the letter-suffix revisions (2Z846D, 4Z527H), which matter and are kept. Boards from the MFDSC assemblies are bought by their 106-prefix numbers.
Condition
Send the stock number with its letter suffix - 4Z527E and 4Z527H are different revisions. Say whether the unit powers up.
We prefer new or new-in-box, and will consider used that was working when it came out. Say which it is — that is the single thing that most affects the offer.
Process
Catalogue numbers off the nameplates, quantities, and whether each is new in box or used.
A cash offer on the lot, or a straight answer that it is not something we buy.
A prepaid label for boxes, or we book the freight for a pallet.
Payment by PayPal once the shipment arrives, clearing within a day.
One unit or a pallet. A free valuation costs you an email and about two hours of waiting.
